So what if we added a item slot extension that gives a item slot for those extra late game scenarios where everyone has bank and is sitting on max items. The item slot extension would only apply after having 6 full items, and cost a lot of gold to make sure only the richest of the rich can buy in. Thoughts?
We don't really need it, games like that are typically one fight away from being over anyway, so it's not too important.
That's kinda what elixirs are for. Once you've optimized your build, you dump your extra gold into having a buff that is basically an extra item.
The problem with extra item slots is that by the end of the game, you should stop farming. If you have six items, you shouldn't be encouraged to continue to farm for gold to get a seventh and onward. You need to start killing players, taking objectives, and destroying buildings, not continuing to PvE.
