Right now there's 32 champions that cost 6300 IP and only 13 champions that cost 450 IP.
Pretty sure it's about to time bump down some of the older 6300's so that champions like Taric, Teemo, Tristana, Tryndamere, and Twisted Fate can finally be placed on the 450 IP list.

The thing is, ranked and normal draft have the same requirements. Players leveling their accounts are unable to play Normal Draft due to the very high requirement of 20 champions and not enough available champions to purchase while leveling. It's pretty painful that I am forced to Support almost 99% of my games leveling this account simply because I am unable to unlock more champions. Most of these games I also could be winning, if I wasn't in the Support role.. thus it's taking me longer than it should to level as well.

So all 20 down to 450 IP, no exceptions. It's been...how many years now? 7-8?

Aeszarck1 votesThere will always be 32 Champions who are 6300 IP (aside from the times when a newly released Champion is 7800 IP). Riot's price reduction schedule causes it to be this way and I don't think that will change.
ROYALR3IGN1 votesThat requirement is important to enter draft or ranked! 5 bans per team = 10 minimum champs, + 9 other players means 20 minimum champs are required to play that mode, in case every single champ gets picked or banned and you're left with one to play yourself.
