Should learn some playmakers like leona tresh or blitzcrank, or even morganna seeing how you dont play any.

Within the role of support, maybe start leaning towards more roam orientated supports? or learn to roam effieciently on your existing champ pool. Atleast in very low silver I remember roaming supports could sometimes do more then the jungler during the laning phase but I havent tried getting out of silver as a support : /. Just continuously try to find more ways to be proactive with whatever leads you can get.

You can most definitly climb from the support role. Now heres the thing, you have 2 main options. Either you can play the highest winrate supports which is prob the fastest way to climb unless ur not good with those champs. Which are blitz and sona. Or you can go for carry supports and semi carry ur games. In which case i would say (besides those you already listed) brand would be a solid supp to try.

Update: broke into silver I finally, attempting to climb with Morgana / maybe Sona .

I rotate with Thresh , Morgana , Blitzcrank and Leona depending on the enemy team comp and our team comp / needs. Most of the time my vision score is significantly higher than the enemy support and I have a relatively low death count . I am also able to peel for my ADC and other team members with these champs. Plus I just happen to find these champs fun. I have tried Soraka , but shes too boring imo. Too much sitting back waiting for everyone to make a move so I can spam heals.
