Ideas for New Lux Passive

This morning after a game I started brainstorming ideas for possible reworks of Lux's passive. Obviously this was purely for the sake of intrigue, but what do you all think?

In my mind, the strengths of her passive are: 1). Increased damage output 2). Increased poke in lane 3). Great for last-hitting

However, the main thing I don't like about her passive is that it just doesn't seem to quite fit in. All of her abilities are long-ranged, which fits her design and her character, but her passive flips this all on a head. 4 long range abilities and a close range passive? Sure, this helps dueling in lane early, but against some matchups (particularly against assassins) it can be extremely risky and playing safe means you can't use it at all. Honestly, it's not TOO bad but I came up with a couple of fun ways to imagine it differently:

1). All of Lux's abilities proc her passive and leave marks, not just her ult. 2). Abilities leave passive marks that grant true sight on targets (it always bothered me that this wasn't the case)

These were just the initial ideas I came up with. Like I said before, I don't think her passive is super flawed, I just thought it would be fun to think about how it could be re-designed to interact differently with her other abilities, or mesh better with the long-range style she excels at. What do you all think?

I think her passive provides her a reward for following up, and delivers the ability for her enemies to counterplay at the same time. She has to get into auto-range to proc her passive, whereas her actual abilities would allow her to REALLY FAR BACK under your idea.

Its not a terrible Idea, but I think the ability fits in just well in terms of gameplay and character style.

Dont fix what doesnt need fixing!:)[slayer-jinx-wink]

The point of her passive is to reward her for getting in range to give her counterplay.

It’s the same reason Ziggs and Xerath have AA based passives, and Velkoz can keep his stacks on someone by AA

aside from what better jungler and wolf king said, it also gives her a bit more of a skill cap. you can dump your load as lux, or you can go for more damage by weaving in E AA Q AA Ult AA etc.

Great idea if you'd like all of Lux's damage to be nerfed into the ground to compensate for her passive now doing damage on multiple spell casts. It's LB passive without the delay. No thanks. The only thing that might make sense is giving her vision on enemies while they have illumination on them; and even then, it shouldn't be true sight. The whole point of her passive is to encourage her to move in; it's her weakness. She either goes in for additional damage and puts her neck on the line or she forfeits the extra damage for safety. She's been fine for the past 7 years, and she's fine now. She doesn't need a new passive; she doesn't need anything changed at all

Ah.. you don't really understand WHY Lux has this passive in the first place. It's for the same reason Xerath and Ziggs have their respective Passives.

It's not for your advantage - it's for your opponents - you have a passive "forcing" you to interact with your opponent in a range he can deal with.

Out of this... "Interact in Lane!"-Passives Lux got one if not the most interesting one - at least hers involves gameplay!

Meanwhile.. Xerath...
