Basicly, they managed to combine auto animation with her q animation so you dont need to cancel the autos manualy inbetween broken wings.

How? She's still squishy She's still slow You still have to use her abilities at the right time and not get fucked on cooldowns. You can still never fight someone with armor AND damage

They made something easier (It should have always been like this. it was holding her back from being Viable to anyone but fucking Diamond+ players)

But how can this be done or is it an update?

Honestly this would ultimately be very healthy for the champion. Think about Riven when she was op. She could just Q spam and win trades. Then look at the people who knew the aa cancel and had the op dmg. It was brutally overbearing. So Riven was balanced around her potential dmg with aa cancels with her q getting gutted shield reduced and heavy emphasis on the passive.

This however made Riven very unfriendly to new players. The mechanics to do her real dmg just isn't there. Most of the people who say Riven is weak did play her but only a few games so they don't get the full potential she has.

Now if everyone gets access to her reset combo then they can balance her in ways that don't make her unplayable to new players but not too overbearing in a skilled hand. But that is what I think they are going for.

God I hope this stays. No longer do I have to be an expert Riven player to take down a good Zed player.

Bring on the hate and remarks about ranking. I love this champ and hope this makes things more consistent for her. No longer do I have to game the game just be skilled.

I like it. I could do the same thing before by clicking on the ground inbetween, and this both saves a lot of needless extra clicking on my poor mouse AND increases the maximum speed that it's physically possible since you don't have to move the mouse back and forth each time.

At the very least it will be less tiring and more consistent.

I really hope this is unintentional

Get ready for the level 1 cheese.

I really hope they don't do this. They should not be butchering the skill ceiling of the game like this. I feel this is a huge insult to anyone who's spent the time learning to do Riven cancels and a huge spit in the face to guys like The Shy and Faker. Please don't eliminate skill from this game.

Is this real?

Tentacle Love1/17/2015, 7:08:18 AM1 votes

I think it's not a bad idea. Obviously pro players know about the skill canceling and do it already and it's probably hell on their mouse.

This means that both the pros and the novices will be able to do it, and it will be a lot easier to balance Riven around skill canceling.

I would fully expect some nerfs to go along with it, but they probably want to see what those nerfs need to be first.

Let this moment go down in history:

A champion in a good place. A champion with the capability to outplay almost any lane opponent if she was REALLY good and knew her champion. A champion that needed no help.

The champion described above got a buff. A really fucking good buff.

And the world was never the same as before.
