I suck, can I NOT play against gold/plat in norms?
It would be nice ya know. 14 SR games. NBD.

there's a difference between playing against someone better than you, and someone overwhelmingly better than you.
If someone is just a little better than you, you can learn from it. but they are are overwhelmingly better than you, you cant really learn anything, it only frustrates you.

1v1 ranked would help with that , tho I don't know if people would play it tbh

not particularly. because league at its core is a team game ( as much as it doesn't feel like it anymore) and so solo games wouldn't teach fundamentles like team comp, enemy analysis, item choice, target priority or even general warding. sure their mechanics would be slightly better, but their base gameplay would suffer a lot.

Irrelevant , without mechanics you cannot pull any of these off appropriately. Game sense can come later when you actually can play the champ.
Might also be a humbling experience for some of these "my teammates are dragging me down" players.

I disagree. game sense needs to be learned first, then hard mechanical stuff such as tripple barreling with gangplank comes second. its the reason there are "easy" champions like annie, sivir, warwic, garen and soraka in the game. you get to learn the game with minimal mechanical difficulty, but you still gain the best of both worlds.
Although i wouldn't be opposed to shutting up some of these yasuo mains who's response always seem to be "1v1 me noob"

Again It's TECHNICALLY impossible to learn "game sense" without mechanics Case and Point , if you're not comfortable cs-ing while under pressure you will have non-existant map awareness , complete tunnel vision , the adc syndrome
sivir garen and wariwck aren't easy champions
and support /jungler are naturally different to actual carry laners Specifically support should be watching the map more than the screen They have their own mechanics
