Devourer seems to be too good.

As it stands it gets a stack for every large neutral monster killed as well as every kill or assist. Is this to fast of a rate of growth?

this becomes a problem in the long run because it scales up to fast and quickly out scales all the other jungler items.

It is also the only one that does not offer 10% CDR even though sting would be a perfect item for it to build from.

So why does it not build from sting? Is it really justified to endlessly scale just because it does not have 10% CDR compared to it's counterparts?

Would making it have 10% CDR 50% attack speed and a flat 35 magic damage on hit be realistic in making it a good item that does not become far better then the other jungler items after about 10 to 15 minutes? Remember it is still a comparatively good item vs the other jungler items on it's own for a few champions.

It's weaker than Feral Flare. FF being a mediocre situational jungle item in it's own right.

You're not thinking things through. Yes it can stack into decent damage as the game goes on, but the other jungle items give you a significant power boost right away that you can use to snowball into more, better, items and possibly win the game before Devourer comes into it's own. It's actually a little underpowered right now because it starts so much weaker. If you don't believe me, use it in a few games and keep track of how many stacks you get. compare that max strength that you get at the end with the other enchants that you get right away. It's generally not worth the time it takes to get strong.

So just out of curiosity have you tried the jungle with this item or are you just going off of what you see. First off i would like to point out the fact that there has already been a nerf to the "Devourer" enchantment for jungle items and it starts off lower then when it was released. Second unless you are hard farming or constantly ganking the item takes majority of the game to stack up anyways. Third and this might just be my opinion if they try and nerf it anymore it then for most champs that take it, it would probably be a better choice to just take the straight ad one.

The other items have the 10% cdr Because they are used on champs that need thier abilitys in order to do some damage. Devourer is used by champs who just auto attack fast and don't use thier abilitys to often so adding that 10% cdr would be worthless. And that's part of the reason why it scales and might become better then other jungle items. Champs who take any of the others build other items to help them boost their damage with their ability's. Those who take Devourer don't have that luxury so we need the scaling effect in order to have some sort of damage late game.

If your suggestion went through, I'd never buy it on anyone. It's already being skipped pretty often on many champions such as Master Yi in favor of Warrior. If you take out the scaling element, it's just dead. Almost completely worthless.

Devourer only works because it has a scaling element. 10% CDR can't make up for that, and it won't make the item stronger than the alternatives. It will still be weaker than other items at the time when you buy it, and it will stay weaker over the course of the game. There is no reason why I'd want that item.
