Just lost the first game in my plat series cause i was hovering someone changed in the last few seconds and it dodged. Wtf is this feature evern doing. Besides causing dodges after waiting for 10+ mins in queue already. If its only point is to try to speed up champ select it is counter productive...causes dodged have to wait in another queue and select

I've finally gotten used to it so I don't "dodge" on accident anymore - but I still don't agree with the point of it (which I think it to be basically a SECOND afk checker)

It helps reduces the number of AFKs/DC. Who knows there's this one guy who picks a champion, suddenly DCs all of the sudden & was unable to hit the Lock In button. This saves the 4v5 situations it had in the old Rank Draft.
Processes the champion selection duration faster. No one likes people hovering til the last minute to waste about 15 minutes which was worth for one lunch.
Being committed to the champion you select. It doesn't says much, but it sure does felt like it for me.
Riot already gave you plenty of time to pick a champion by allowing you to still select a champion, even after Pick Intent was over.
Mobility Power1 votesI probably panic pick like 40 percent of my games and also dont play as much anymore but this isnt the biggest reason, the lock in wasnt that bad for me until they lowered the seconds you had. then i just picked whatevs champ and first timed if i needed to avoid dodge.
Mobility Power1 voteswhat would fix this IMO is if riot made it so you could make a group like "marksman" or "assassin" but customize it so its like "My mains" or something.. cause i usually dunno what i wanna play.
