Went as Aatrox, against a volibear in the toplane. Early game, as expected, I crushed him. as soon as he got a full sunfire cape, however, things turned around drastically. all of a sudden I didn't have a chance, even if I poked him before engaging and stemming his heals with ignite. I was... confused. thought there was a mistake, or perhaps a glitch. happened a few more times and I started to tilt. Can someone enlighten me on this? Am I just r%%%%%ed or something?
Volibear can build tank ok because of his W, not OP, just Aatrox isn't the best candidate to fight him because of how good his all in can be.
Edit: You were doing really well at start, properly poking him and harassing him, even got first kill on him, but then you messed up and he flipped you under tower and you didn't disengage away from it, so he was able to win because of early game tower damage.
He then overengaged on you and you got the kill back, so that's good, but after getting herald, good play on your part, you then decided to fight him at half life, which was INCREDIBLY greedy for a person you weren't fully beating yet.
Then from there, the game just snowballed out of control, him even picking up a double kill with the help of his jungler.
So yeah, you got a little overambitious and weren't accounting for his W and Conq damage and it snowballed from there.
Aatrox doesnt usually win 1v1s unless he can kite it out and voli is easy to kite out. Voli is a mcdonalds tier champ
