You cannot even legitimately play in Korean servers unless you're Korean. It requires the equivalent of a Social Security Number, which is illegal to share or distribute or use someone else's. And buying an account is obviously against rules.

Well, if you live near a Korean server it would be optimal. But if you transfer from say, New York City, you would lag uncontrollably and not have very good connections.

• Note, Koreans aren't all good at league of legends. The top 3% of the players are AMAZING at it, but everyone else is about the same as everyone on the North American server. That's why pros go to Korea to get better. They want to play against the top 5% and learn their skills. Bjergsen would be considered in the top .01% of NA servers if that helps to define the skill level in Korea.

(All players in Korea are the same as NA though when it comes to skill level. I'd say that a Platinum 5 NA player would be about Gold 2 in Korea)

Heres a na master player that is in korea, and his opinion.

tldr, koreas have better mechanics, even at silver/gold. They will challenge things, where players in NA do not. They lane well, their midgame/lategame decision are worse than NA.
