Idea for the ranking system

Hello, fellow board members and Riot employees.** HeartBreaker Vi** here with an idea to help make the ranking system a much healthier place. For a very long-time players have done what some might call "First timing- Using a champion for the first time with no knowledge of how the champion works". Another issue occurs where a new champion is released or reworked and the same issue repeats. A restriction or "gate" to softly put it should be placed, and here is a very simple solution. Reworked/ New champions - removed from champion selected for 1 week upon release in all ranked que types. First timing issue- A champion will not show in champion select unless that champion has a set amount of champion points. Now let me explain these points a little more in-depth to help clarify. BOT games and normal games are the place for testing new things such as items, new ways of playing, and reworked/new champions or champions one has never played. Ranked ques are for the experienced players that have took the time to gather information on the game, champions, mechanics, and use that to climb to become the best. Now previously I said a champion can only be played with a set amount of champion points, this was for others to discuss a fair spot for this idea to take effect. For example, should the champion be level 3 or 7 before they can be placed into the pool, I believe three/four is fair. Trying to get champions to level 6/7 is frustrating enough to a player and that would take things too far. 3 would be low, so I find 4/5 enough. Jumping to the Reworked/ New champions, it's obvious the champion will be over/under tuned and riot themselves need time to adjust it after release. Setting a week restriction on the upcoming champions in ranked ques would be a must have change in my opinion after its release. 1-2 weeks is all it will take for the players to adjust to the new champion and for Riot to make slight changes. So to wrap this up, let me know what everyone thinks, should a champion be removed from all ranked que types for 1 week after released. What about first timers, ranked is for playing on a professional level, should players be allowed to play champions for the first time in a ranked que or should there be a restriction. Give some feedback and I hope to see everyone on the rift!

wall of text is wall of text

with that out of the way

  1. 1 week is not always going to be enough time to learn all the ins and outs of a new/reworked champion; this is mainly due in part because of how the community works in League, where said champion is often hard banned in the first few days because many feel they are overpowered or useless

  2. well given that you can't get above mastery rank 4 without going into pvp matches...that's easily done

I made a somewhat similar thread over on reddit with some new requirements that I feel should get added into the ranked system
