Its just frustrating to play champs like Rumble and then getting 2 combo'd to death by the new Galio when he only has to build 1 AP item and then can absorb all the damage in the world. This new trend of % Damage reduction is getting really old really quick and its making it feel like playing anyone who doesn't build tank/ tack HG to be a poor decision.

I really hope the "juggernaut" update is returning tanks to being tanks rather than High HP Carries

If you actually paid attention to what a tank was, you might not be so confused. I'll give you an example to help you understand.

... to be fair, a mechanized tank has no "gap closers". This would be more indicative of Juggernauts.

tanks are only getting increased damage in unreliable damage. Heavily telegraphed abilities. Their reliable damage will go down.

They will be getting more CC regardless.

Sadly, % damage reduction is the only way forward for tanks

With all the true damage, %hp damage and penetration going around there really isn't anything else a tank can bring to defend himself

Besides why would you play rumble into Galio??? Galio counters magic damage that's his thing.

I didnt pick it INTO Galio.

And I dont care so much about the %reduction as much as all the damage tanks get ALONG with the % reduction

Tanks really don't have that much damage

A little bit of defense goes a long way towards shutting them down if you had bought item 3111 item 3001 first items with some mr runes he wouldn't have been able to put a dent in you.
