The system allows people to gangup on people for no reason

I just got a game where there was a smurf Lee Sin on the other team and he was very good and I was jungle on our team and he kept invading me very well and made my life difficult and also got kills in every lane pre 10 minutes. There was a Duo bot lane that started raging insane amounts of cursing and hate speech at me, I laughed it off like usual and tried to gank elsewhere but then the duo convinved the mid and top to gang up on me and they literally spend the entire game cursing and berating me and convinced the other team I was toxic also and got them to all report me for verbal abuse when I literally said just a few things like " haha okay" or "Well lee invaded me multiple times and I diddnt get any help" but since they convinced everyone to report me for verbal abuse I get a chat restriction while the ragers get off scott free

tl:dr Duo bot convinced my team and enemy team to all report me though I literally wasnt doing anything wrong, I get chat restriction, they got off free.

If you are reported frequently enough for Verbal Abuse, then it triggers a scan of your chat logs. If there wasn't anything report-worthy in your chat logs, then you wouldn't have been punished.

IIRC, the system checks the frequency of games in which you are reported; it doesn't matter if you receive 1 report or 9, it treats them similarly.

It takes more than one game of reports to be punished anyways unless you are doing something extremely grievous.

I know you were toxic in game too, and thats not Ok. You wouldn't get a chat restriction because of nothing it just doesn't happen.

However what I can tell you is that, I sympathize with you raging at them, cyber bullying is real on League of Legends and what makes it worse is that if for some reason 4 people are harassing you, you can be seen as spam reporting for reporting them all if they only harassed you a bit but it seemed much more just because of ALL the harassment you were receiving that game.

League is pretty broken for that, 1 person gets punished for raging the rest get off scot free until they do it a couple games in a row.

Sorry that happened to you, but in the future just mute them and report
