It's likely that your interpretation of 'streaks' as an outside influence stems from an unfamiliarity with the nature of randomness.
What do you consider the starting # for a streak? 3? 4?
I have this problem as well. It's so unbalanced. I will so often yo-yo with massive streaks (like 5-10). Its not fun at all.
Losing streaks always begin during promos....every time. I don't necessarily mind that I lose the promos, but it continues until I damn near lose the placement that I'm currently in.
Sounds like you're at the elo you belong at! When you improve, you'll find yourself having a bigger impact in your games, winning more often. Sticking with less champions is a first step, 12 unique champions in the past 3 days is a bit too much. Second step is to have a bit more humility and learn where you can improve your play.
