Ranked Full Tier Rule
So this is an issue many players who are climbing quickly find themselves having to deal with, that your mmr becomes significantly higher than the players in your respective league and so you are matched with players in a much higher division. This in itself is not really an issue, what is an issue is when it gets out of hand, and you end up with players more than a full tier above you
Example: Player A is on a winning streak climbing through silver, he is currently silver 1, but is playing mostly with golds and sometimes other s1 players. Player B Is Plat 5 and is on a losing streak, happens to all of us. Well his mmr is lower than his plat buddies now, so he's getting matched with some golds, no biggie. Except player B gets matched against player A in a game and proceeds to wreck face and win by a landslide. Cool for player B, not for player A
It's understandable that sometimes people go on losing streaks and get matched with lower skilled players by a small margin, the opposite is also true and equally purposeful, however, those two players being matched together creates a "stacked game" if you will, where one player has to play against someone with a significantly higher skill level. Some time ago Riot imposed a full tier rule with matchmaking where you couldn't que up with someone more than a full tier away from you to get carried through the ranks because it created a similar skill gap. I propose the same thing be done essentially to RANKED matchmaking. If player A cant be matched with any plats because he is in silver, then he would never have to face player b, who wouldn't be able to play with silvers while he is still in platinum. This way players who are meant to climb out of THE DIVISION THEY ARE IN will actually play people close to the division they are in to do so, and people who do not deserve the division they are in will continue to play players closer to their rank and get demoted until they can handle the people around them in skill. This would create a more fair feeling ranked system, especially for people who are stuck in lower divisions than they should be and are climbing through their own efforts
TLDR: Impose a full tier rule where people IN RANKED ONLY cannot be matched against players a full tier above or below them in order to ensure a more fair environment (ex gold player cannot be matched with a plat or bronze player due to high/low mmr)
