Since you are rushing
in every match, I would suggest running defense first until you get more used to him.
While rushing Trinity Force is optimal in most match ups, it might help you get used to his kit if you are struggling in lane. If you aren't struggling too much in lane, then
into
is a pretty safe option (Assuming you need MR in the match). Then you can choose to finish Spirit Visage or Trinity Force depending on how the rest of the lane goes. If the lane match up is easy for you, then yes.... Definitely rush Trinity Force.
Most of the time, you are going to want to stay in a side lane. His kit is terrible for roaming. If you try to roam, all you have is your Q if your ultimate is down. To make the most of his kit, stay in the side lane and draw pressure to you. If you manage to get fed or make it late enough in the game, you will require 2 or more enemies to take you down. Since your split pushing power is so ridiculously strong, you can't be ignored. Your allies should have the brains to respond accordingly if the enemy team sends 3-5 people to kill you.
how to play yorick in quick easy tips:
If you really struggle; just farm with Q, get the Q-ghouls and E the enemy, then farm again and repeat. If that goes well; trap them with W, ult directly and fight them with Q.
Well it doesn't help that the champion is garbage in his current state.
His kit doesn't have enough damage in it to justify how gated all his damage is after riot nerfed his ghouls 3 times in a row.
Your forced to use your only reliable way to do damage on minions while getting poked to death. Then you have to land a difficult skill shot and hope they're in range after you set up your graves.
All that set up for your ghouls to do 22 damage.
Then your left wondering why your playing a champion that can only trade effectively once every 40 seconds in the first place while every other champion in the game will out damage you with their full rotation which is available to use any time they want.
Anyways... Some advice.
Unless your JG comes to help don't even try to fight them till you have triforce or your ult is up.
Learn to freeze, summon ghouls after your lane minions die to stall the push and you can also use your wall to stall the wave as well. It's all about making it to the mid game with out being behind.
