I Own 17 champions and i have 1 adc runepage,how am i supposed to play support? why does riot autofill me? i do not have the runes for the role or the champions for the role. Dear teamates in the champion select. Its not my fault riot allows me to play ranked without the necesairy runes/champions. Dear Riot. If you want me to play support give me the ability to afford the runes and the ip to play them. all you have to do is realise the biggest difference with supporting is buying item 2049 and a gold making item. You can actually take an ADC into a sup position. I've gone Ezreal with item 3303 and killed it in lane too. As more as to leave out a lot of questions and to looking strong in lane. I go for these three items: item 3107 item 3050 item 3116 . anything else can be an attack item or something that fits your own play style. ap ez support for the win XD.

It is on you to prepare your Anus for the times where you are auto-filled.

Otherwise if you can get out of support duty by "i don't have a page", you and also all the Yasuo 1-tricks will NEVER have a support rune page, and will fill their support games with pure trolling to artificially kill their performance in the role and "justify" the "I suck at support" claim.

You will get the ip. Starting out is difficult and time consuming, but the ip will come. The good thing is that once you get a basic support rune page, it can serve you for many games.

I suggest you should start by making generic AD-champion and AP-champion rune pages that are useful for mid/top/jungle with. Go really broad spectrum pages that fit a lot of champions.

These can also serve you as support and ADC rune pages in the period when you can not afford dedicated pages for these roles.

OR you can just fill up your cait rune page, and use THAT as a support page. You'd be surprised what AD/AS runes can do for your early game banana harass.

Be vocal, try to trade. Or do what Mecha MaIphite suggested. Buy something cheap and easy, grin and bear it. Carry hard next game.

I feel your pain. Best advice I can give is to start with the really commonly used runes before purchasing specialized stuff. For example, you can use Health yellows, MR blues, armor from either reds or quints, and then use whatever remaining slots for stuff based on what you are playing. It may not be ideal, but at least they are stats that do something for everybody, and if you run things like that you are more likely to get a decent rune page to use in every game as opposed to if you start buying things like Lethality reds or crit chance stuff which you will only use in certain situations.

The other option is to play Miss Fortune as support. She's not the kind of pick I'd play every game regardless of match up, but at least its an option that you already have the runes to pull off and it is good in the right situations.
