Stop the ryze changes.

I MAKE IT HAPPEN·4/11/2015, 4:08:17 PM·2 votes·996 views

https://www.change.org/p/riot-games-save-ryze They completely ruin the flow that is ryze. I am going to copy and paste from another post because I can't say this better in my own words.

" Well as someone who has played over two thousand ranked games as Ryze in the Diamond/Challenger ELO region, I should probably post with how disappointing I find these changes. The most important change by FAR is that the 'flow' of playing Ryze will be completely destroyed. Right now anyone who has played Ryze significantly can tell you that it's like playing an instrument - the way you weave your abilities with movement and additional autoattacks in between cooldowns is a song that you gradually compose with more and more unique flair and efficiency. The pattern changes based on the situation, and I don't think of him as 'boring' in the least - in reality, there is a huge amount of skill required to successfully keep opponents in the requisite mid-short range that Ryze is successful in. In this respect, changing his Passive will completely destroy the aforementioned 'flow' of playing Ryze; it simply won't feel like Ryze anymore, just another AP Caster with small windows of opportunity to destroy someone in. If anything, I think this change drastically decreases Ryze's uniqueness and feel to being just another AP Caster. The Q change, however, is by far the most troubling. Ryze Q no longer being a targeted ability will feel like literally a dozen other AP Mids, and simply put will change the entire way he plays in every situation. There's really not much to say - Veigar Q change wasn't nearly as drastic because most of the time that is used for farming anyway, the it was his E which made him incredibly frustrating to play against. Ryze, on the other hand, does not possess the sort of zero counterplay burst combo that Veigar did, and simply put, he will not ever be able to fight in lane again, as every single trade in lane is based on managing to get close enough to the enemy to get off a combo by weaving your spells properly together. The E change is not particularly noticeable in that it serves precisely the same purpose without the randomness factor (depending on the numbers obviously), so I guess that's a step in the right direction. Now then let me say that I understand Ryze is a difficult champion to balance and seems quite 'all or nothing' at the moment. However, the reason for this is that, simply put, he doesn't belong in the Top Lane at all. Whenever ranged champions hit the top lane one of two things happens: they get bullied out instantly and are completely useless, or their poke is impossible for anyone to deal with and they are outrageously overpowered. To fix Ryze he needs to have his base damages nerfed and his range increased to bring him back to mid lane again. He was a fine, balanced pick for over a season before the changes attempting to morph his identity, and since then he has been either the most overpowered champion in the metagame or among the weakest. Overall there are definitely changes that ought to be made to Ryze, but making it so that you COMPLETELY alter the way he plays is not the way to go about it. There is a significant portion of the playerbase that plays Ryze and, simply put, this new champion is not Ryze. I'm fine with Ryze being on the weak end of things for balance reasons, it will make it so that only people who truly know how to get the most out of his abilities and playstyle flow can play him properly. Changing him to mimic every single other AP caster in the game is not the answer. Sincerely, ~ND UncleSam/UncleSamsCabin. " Of course this post comes from uncle sam. and I AGREE 100%. I would like to know feed back. I don't want the champion I main for 5 seasons to be ruined and have nothing to go to. also calling ryze "Boring" is insulting.

i agree in some aspects but in the end, for your opponent ryze is a binary champion who isn't very fun to play against.

He really needs a rework. Too bad the rework sucks.
