Can we buff Akali?

Akali is a champion that hasn't seen too much love, being one of the worst picks as of late. It's a far cry from the Pentakilling, carry busting, hybrid assassin that ruled midlane. With the new Shen rework coming up, I think we should not only think of the tanky ninja, but also his companions. Upvote if you agree.

EDIT- ahem 47% win rate ahem She isn't strong, she isn't 'cancerous', she has no utility even if she does bad (which she most likely will in the state she's in now), so please do not take as fact what isn't true. Maybe in another patch, but she, like I said, is not nearly as good as she used to be.

I love playing akali, but id be the first to admit, the game is much more fun when shes not strong.

She is completely unfair and unhealthy to play against, she a needs a rework, no point in buffing what will eventually need a rework.

Interim buffing. Small buffs that will make the champ slightly viable, but not broken.

Akali is a pure point click champ with 3 gap closes she needs no buffs she needs a rework which should be coming around the mage patch hopefully.

I hope when they do rework her they give her "nearsight" like with quinn/graves

They won't rework her in the mage patch, as she isn't a mage. She is an assassin.

Meh I figured but even if that's the case then after the mage patch is an assassin one where I hope her rework comes because she's purely point and click it's keeping her from being too strong. Cause I do love akali but atm she's fine being feast or famine because of how well she can execute targets.

I'm not saying you're wrong and trying to chase you out of town with -pitch forks raised just mainly pointing out the core reason she can't be buffed and a rework is needed. :P

It'd be better if his E had an AP scaling, but it's good enough that I even start with Doran's Ring on normal AD Yorick.

Are you sure? I know his W does, but I was sure that E was AD only.

Yeah, Omen of Famine does magic damage, but it's AD scaling. Only Omen of Pestilence is AP (but it does have a 1.0 scaling).

In this snowball-heavy meta, small changes can lead up to big things. So, an Akali who didn't get that one kill against Zed, because of the fact that her E doesn't proc her Q, can (DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying it will, I'm saying it can.) lead to her losing lane, and eventually losing the game.

lmao you realize it goes the other way too, right? an akali that gets that one kill can lead her to winning lane, and eventually winning the game.

Yes I have, and this is why this thread is giving me Malefic Visions because you're all wrong. I'm not saying this because I lost to an Akali, I thought she was garbage but then I went to summoner school and realized how relevant she still is. I am one of those people who picked Akali up because she was "op" and then dropped her immediately when she got nerfed hard a while back, and it wasn't until recently that I realized that Akali has come back with a vengeance.

Downvoting doesn't change the facts. Akali is not someone to be ignored.

My go to build right now is Sunfire into Abyssal into Hextech, with Teleport and Flash.

have you at least played her at all? her time is now, mid game destroyer, her Q AA procs thunderlords for pete sake. Her early is atrocious but that has always been the problem with her, but once you hit 6 and have 3 dashes HO BOY people are gunna die.

The thing with akali is she isn't like other assassins, you have to play a certain way with her or you aren't using her correctly. Using your q as harass, wait for it to come down to 2 ish sec cd, jump them proc mark, e, q dash, proc mark and theu should be pretty hurt. And w stealth when you can anywhere in between without losing too much energy, her whole combo is her energy pool so care. Meanwhile her w was buffed to give nice ms while in shroud. The changes to hextexk really upped her in power and sustain with total damage spell vamp now. https://youtu.be/P0YXL7OwWok She has some nice stuff when used optionally, I say try a custom game and play oit her combos, at least that is what I did and even though I had a crap team with her, I did fairly well I remember.

I didn't really find her that bad the last time I played her, I guess if they were going to do anything with her though they could make her Q do extra damage to minions or maybe refund part of the cool down if it kills a unit.
