20 Tips on winning more games
-
Stop flaming your teammates, no one cares and the only thing you accomplish is making them play worse by tilting them, shut up and scream at your computer for all we care but don't harass your own teammates.
-
Stop flaming your teammates, I'm repeating this because lots of people still don't understand this simple concept
-
Winning your lane, kdas, and cs/minute does not mean anything if the enemy nexus does not fall. You need to help out your other lanes, get turrets, and close the game before the enemy team catches up to you
-
Get every dragon you can, it doesn't matter if it is an air or water dragon, each dragon buff makes a difference no matter how small it is and it amplifies the elder drake buff. Not to mention each dragon you don't go for means that you give up a potential dragon buff to the enemy team.
-
Buy ~~pink ~~ control wards, supports can only place 3 stealth wards and one pink ward, you don't have a right to complain about a dark map if you don't help at all, come on guys a lot of competitive players buy them, the vision makes a big difference. Also please don't bm blue trinket the enemy team, it gives them gold and experience.
-
Know when a battle is lost, if everyone is dying and the enemy team is still healthy, leave the fight. You don't have to fight to the death each time there is an all out team fight.
-
Practice your last hitting, cs is your main source of income followed by kills, play a bot game or two to mindlessly cs. If you are a support you don't need to worry as much but even supports should know how to last hit, they should also last hit minions if they are under tower by themselves defending while the ally adc is going back.
-
Mute toxic players, don't interact with them at all, it is pointless and you waste your time talking to them or aggravating them further, mute them and move along, it is never worth it, ever.
-
You can play the game with /mute all if your team is bickering or if you find them too distracting, most communication done in your games is composed of simple phrases that either congratulate or flame you. You can let your teammates know that you wont read the chat logs and that they should ping to communicate, or you can just mute all at the start. Focusing on the game is more important than the affirmation or high school drama your teammates will supply you.
-
Take a break from League of Legends or ranked if you start losing a handful of games, losing is not fun, but playing more games to compensate only tilts you further and you play sloppier, your brain needs some diversity to focus better. You can't win every game, no one can, about 40% of your games are unwinnable, 40% are easy wins, and the other 20% is up to you, accepting defeat is just as important as winning. Focus on what YOU did wrong and what YOU can improve for future games, because your teammates (unless duos/premades) are not going to be with you at all times, its up to you to improve not them.
-
You don't need baron to end every game, sometimes it is better to just get the inhibitors and push down the nexus
-
Even non ADCs have auto attacks, USE THEM! There is a lot of damage you are missing out early game with nearly undodgeable harass that can also later on secure kills. If your spells are on CD and you are in a brawl and you are near someone, help out and auto attack!
-
If you unsuccessfully ganked a lane and burned up the enemy laner's summoner spells, especially flash, you should gank again pretty soon, they are super vulunerable and going back into the jungle for another 20 minutes isn't going to be super helpful.
-
Be creative with your ganks, try ganking from places where wards are almost never placed such as behind bot lane's turrets.
-
Don't chase enemies forever, if you can't catch them after awhile and the rest of them are mia or respawning, go back, otherwise you will land yourself in a 1 v 5.
-
You don't always have to go back to base, if you harassed your enemy out of their lane and you are pretty healthy, stay in lane and continue farming, you will have a much higher gold and experience difference.
-
Turn all chat off if you are taking your game seriously, it is not worth distracting yourself from the game by talking with the enemy team, plus you can filter out some of the harass from your toxic teammates because most of the time they will complain in all chat.
-
Share CS with your other teammates if you have a full build and they have some sort of clearing mechanism during the downtime of league, it is much easier to win if everyone on your team has full builds, not just your S+ score.
-
Learn about EVERY champion and item in the game. Have you memorized what each ability does and all of its cool downs? Probably not, knowledge is power in this game and it can make or break your game.
-
Once again, stop flaming your teammates, just stop.
