Suggestion for low level (Pre-30) Jungle tiered strength
I've been playing my smurf recently to level it up some more and play champs on it's account. We know that at low levels Jungle isn't a staple of the team comp so much as it is at level 30 and as you get closer to it. I think that there are two main reasons for that. One that can be addressed by practicing and one that needs a change to low level games themselves.
Player skill and knowledge of jungle champions, routes, ganking, etc are all things we learn as we play and it makes sense that low level players will be unaware of the role or not confident in playing it as a result. But I think the bigger issue is the punishing strength of the jungle to players without full masteries and runes.
Plenty of champions are only mediocre junglers without proper runes and masteries. Many still have a rough early game as they build up sustain/ tankiness to take camps. At low levels the number of champions that have the strength to survive the first camps is reduced even further to just a handful. As a result, players that want to try jungle, and are unaware of its early strength will suffer and see it as impossible to start there. For example the only champion I've got right now at lvl 11 that can actually manage to jungle is Nunu. Shen wasnt even able to clear 3 camps without having to back. I'm sure other champions without strong built in sustain are having similar problems in Jungle.
My suggestion is this: Have tiered jungle strength dependent on the average level of the players in the game. <10 would be manageable to allow players at low levels to try out jungle and the champs that usually do it, <20 would ramp up some to prepare players for level 30 strength and due to the new masteries they will have, <30 is full strength jungle.
I think this would allow low level players to try jungle with the champions they want and still have fun, and ease them into it. Jungle monsters are just so much stronger than lane minions and we don't want a players first experience in Jungle to be super underleveled, outfarmed, and perhaps already executed by monsters.
on my smurf. first 3 levels i have to back alot. and spend alot of heal pots. level 12 smurf. but i wreck the shit out of low level people
