Riot, can we stop indirectly nerfing Teemo already?
It's already hard enough for Teemo to keep up in high elo - before the bronzies downvote this. Ipav, the only challenger Teemo to my knowledge, has left the game for the foreseeable future, in part due to how unfair the game is becoming for this champion.
As we all know, **everyone ** has access to **free **
that counter Teemo's ultimate. In high elo, 3-4 people will get
just to nullify Teemo's traps. We all spend gold on

to counter abilities, but when it comes to Teemo, we can just plop down a 75g
and turn on our free
. Not to mention
, Scuttle Crab interference, and Scryer's Bloom (jungle plant). It sometimes gets to the point where Teemo essentially no longer has an ultimate, particularly when being sieged by the enemy team. It's an ultimate. It shouldn't be nullified for free, at least not to this extent.
Apparently in Patch 8.8, in addition to being available at the start of the game, the _range _ of
is being increased. I can't comment on the intended purpose of this change and its acceptability, but I do know the current range is already _more than effective _ against Teemo.
I'm not saying we need to necessarily nerf
, although maybe that's the answer, but something needs to be done to make this more fair. For example, someone mentioned allowing only the user of
actually destroy the wards/traps. Or limiting the number of
, or limiting it to certain classes. Or introducing some sort of gold cost.
I've also seen people mention the idea of increasing how long Teemo's traps last. Currently, they last 5 minutes, when they originally used to last 10 minutes. These are just ideas, but something ought to be done.
Teemo can't even really ditch his ultimate and emphasize on-hit damage anymore, due to the removal of Fervor of Battle and the
nerf, which went through due to how broken it was on Gnar, not on Teemo.
