Regarding new champions

Just my 2 cents.

Everytime RIOT releases a new champion it makes me want to not play League for at least 1 week. I'm sick of people playing for the first time a new champion after 1 hour of its release in ranked games. RIOT needs to understand that only a small part of the community has a PBE account that allows it to try new champions. That being said, i would suggest to release a new champion and make it playable only for normal games for at least 1 week so people can learn it without ruining the game to people who are actually trying hard just to climb a little bit. It's frustrating.

Don't tell me we can ban the new champion because 99% of the times the X guy pre picks it and straight ints if you ban "his" champion.

Riot understands the sample size on the PBE. They also understand (something that most of the community cannot seem to grasp) that the PBE is not meant to be a balance test ground but a bug hunting ground. And even then it has its flaws.

Nobody plays on the PBE to find bugs. I agree that it is what it is supposed to be but honestly people just play on hit to test new items/champions. But that's a different topic and we should not be arguing about it here.

Inting isn't cool but neither is willfully banning a champion someone wanted to use outside of very specific team comp or must-pick concerns. If your team has first pick and you ban what the first pick wanted to play... yeah, that's a dick move and they have every right to be upset with you over it.

You wanna talk about losing the game in champ select, putting your own people on tilt before you're even at the fountain will definitely decrease your chances of winning. It's not like you know their history on that champ from the few tens of seconds it takes to declare intents and execute bans.

I have never banned a pre-picked champ, it makes no sense anyway. If it happens i have a yasuo or one of those famous champions that most of players just cannot play properly i check their profiles and just dodge the game if they have low winrate. That's it .

People are free to play whatever they want, i just want people to not play for the first time a champion that has been released the same day in a ranked game.

But we're not talking "same day" in the real world - people suggest weeks, months, # of wins, all of these. Nobody can agree on how long a new champion should be banned from ranked for.

I remember when some guy on my team banned my ADC pick, so I banned his Zoe. This went back and forth 3 times in 3 different champ selects until he finally dodged. --- It made my day.
