I no longer enjoy playing LoL...

This season is the worst by far to me, it seems so broken, every player is using items that used to be at a 3000+ gold vaule at the start of the game... ppl with support type rune pages are doing more dmg than dmg rune pages...

i just do not understand how to play this season or why certain classes like support do more dmg and sustain than mages now...

Or why players get free move speed boosts and dmg boosts for seemingly no reason...

i was dedicated to this game and played since season 2, and finally season 6-7 i started getting decent and got plat 5 two seasons in a row...

now this season im hardstuck in silver 1...

i just cant figure out how to use these basic rune pages or understand why certain runes which i would consider support like are out damaging hard dmg rune pages and champs...

I just dont think im going to continue playing and it seems ive wasted hundreds of dollars and years of time on a game that is no longer suited for me...

I've been a master yi main since season 2, and its not feasible to play master yi in any lane or jungle anymore, its just not the same with these new runes, i dont know how to fix yi to be like he was with masteries AND runes...

it is very disappointing to play and realize i wont get anywhere playing the champ i loved for years...

i tried to find the best pvp type game there was, and i thought this was it for years...

now i just dont understand how this game works anymore,

i just needed to vent and say something because i loved this game for a long time...

Now i no longer even want to play it...

Are there any new revamps or changes coming soon? because i do not want to play this season anymore...

I'm pretty sure insanity is the only fuel that gets me to queue into a game.

Just the small smudge of hope that it will be a fun game.

.....Nope it's a slaughter fest that's boring as fuck.

wow you've played this game for years and now youre starting to get sick of it? Who would've thought!

coliosismitosis2/13/2018, 12:56:59 PM9 votes

Then don't play it anymore? I don't understand the i was here from the beginning arguement. It means nothing, if you were here from the beginning or started preseason 8 it doesn't matter, if you don't enjoy playing, then don't.

I just wish they would fix matchmaking...

That's all I wish for.

Just don`t play if you don´t like the way it currently is. You can play other games. League of Legends won´t suddenly be turned into a ego shooter while you are gone. You can always come back and hope the game gets better in the next 3-4 patches. You can always pirate games if you don´t have the money to play so there is no excuse not to.

TBH League never felt like a fully balanced game. In fact early on I feel like the key focus wasn't competitive balance, sure, it was a part of the equation but it wasn't the main goal.

Everyone felt like they were a little more over the top and crazy and people who couldn't keep up tended to get buffs.

I feel like now it's been a few seasons of heavy handed nerfs on rotation so that everyone can combat anything and when something is out of balance in that kind of environment, it presents a HUGE problem. It's also far more apparent under those circumstances.

TL:DR On average, most champions are more balanced than they used to be, however, this makes unbalanced champions seem like much more of an issue.

I’ve been playing since season 2 as well and I find these runes the most disturbing thing. See I'll play a champion like ezreal and I pick commet because I feel like it's the best pick on him but it's not. The best is klepto and any champion who can abuse a rune that gives extra gold over damage. I mean it astounds Me how much more gold is in the game than it used to be.

I've been a master yi main since season 2

Found the issue.

Unfortunately nobody really cares, just have to learn how to make it fun. It's not the patch, it's just the whiney babies who don't like it, if you thinks it's broken then leave, that doesn't stop me from liking it.

BoilTheOil2/13/2018, 8:39:40 PM5 votes

pretty sure the people that said yes are the people that are like "but it can be good eventually" no bring back season 3 4 5 runes/masteries and make runes free.

Move on babe, try something new, see if any indie devs have made a sleeper masterpiece

I gotta admit that the last few patches made the game more bearable. But when preseason 8 hit, i really despised the state of the game, to the point that i was mostly playing out of addiction and boredom.

Season 7 was already too snowbally, and every match ended with an adc just wiping through the other team. And don't get me started on Ardent Censer bs.

"Lategame" champs are still snowballing too early, and the early game is still polluted by people that can chunk half your hp at lvl 1, but at least game length has gone up.

But yeah i miss season 4 and 5 the most.

Season 8 came with quite a few updates & big changes to the game, and with reveals we know that there's even more to come. It's fully understandable that all of this is going to give a impact of both positive and negative loaded impressions.

I hope you'll manage through this despite all these wierd changes bombarding us. Early season is a mess and can get the worst out of us. I'm sure you'll find your spark again once the season starts calming down.

much love.

I honestly prefer this season over the cancer that is ardent meta however yeah it still sucks nonetheless.

barnacle boy2/14/2018, 11:22:35 AM2 votes

dark harvest kayn does 1k dmg on his basic attacks mid to late game? duskblade is probably the most broken item there is in the game and yet ever since i started playing again few months ago i've not seen it nerfed? tanks are unkillable and deal more dmg than u in any stage of the game? adc's need twice the peel as before just because u get killed in a split second cuz of new runes and basically ur role becomes pointless? sustain supports now have limitless heals cuz of new runes and basically laning against them becomes a pain in the ass cuz u always get outsustained? once someone gets fed he's it's pretty much impossible to get him shut down cuz he prolly does thrice the dmg ur whole team does? all i see is overnerfing champs i mean what u should rly nerf is ur items and runes. champs are all fine unless there is a champ that goes really well with a certain rune etc

Fleiryn2/13/2018, 6:13:35 PM2 votes

I've had worse, there was full tank nauti/tahm kench oneshoting me in season 5 for examples glad that never happened again and hope it never will

HeyBigGuyHeyBudd2/14/2018, 2:51:03 PM2 votes

BY far the worst season ever for me. The runes take getting used to, but the games are mostly too short and too snowbally and meta picks rule too much.

I've played nearly every day since Season 1 and I'm still happy. But I don't play ranked and I just go with the flow with whatever Riot hands us. I don't like or dislike changes unless they completely change the champs I like. Like the Vlad rework. I didn't like it and I miss the old Vlad. I played him every day, now I don't play him at all.

OP Garen Support2/14/2018, 6:30:12 PM1 votes

Season 8 or preseason is not the reason the game felt awful to play. Its the season 7 ADC shit fest which is not patched out yet. I would say Riot doing a good job on PBE Mages will finally get back their role as an AP CARRY and not just secondary support.

Venomar2/13/2018, 11:28:30 PM1 votes

I'm in the same boat. I took a hiatus midway through season 7, slowly trickling off my playing time. My wife kept playing and commented on the preseason updates saying "It's like a completely different game".

I had my reservations about that statement, but having got back into it, mechanical and game rust aside, I'm having a really hard time figuring out what the eff exactly is going on and how to play this season. I feel like I would enjoy the game a hell of a lot more if I could find a role and play style that works for me amongst all the muck.

A lot of things are still the same, GP is still GP, Shaco does what Shaco does, for the most part. It's not the Champs and roles that are throwing me off, it's the subtle nuances that have been changed that are screwing me up personally. It's working out how to play Champs with thier new runes (and for some it completely changes thier game style), all the while trying to work out how to play against someone who has had thier game style completely changed and revamped and learning how to counter it. Things I used to excel at I'm a total dumpster fire with now, my comfort pick just got reworked, trying new Champs all the while trying to adjust to the meta and learn all the new runes and support item changes has proven to be a chore. I'm sure it would have been easier keeping up with the changes as they happened, but having been away from the game, I feel like a new player again.

I made the comment to myself last night after I was done playing that "I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing in this game anymore". That's the big thing for me. I can't figure out how riot wants me to play. Plus with them changing everything so drastically every half year, I'm having a hard time justifying to myself why I should continue to try and figure it out, and for what?

Saianna2/14/2018, 2:37:33 AM1 votes

why certain classes like support do more dmg and sustain than mages now...

Because quite a number of nowadays supports were mages before. But Riot decided to reshape them into supports because that's easier to do than actually creating batch of new supports.

Also they had shown they quite dislike mages in general. obviously with few exemptions such as Ahri.

Needles to say they do not want mages anywhere near to harm ADCs.
