What about changing Ekko into a Riven-like diver-fighter
Hi there,
I've been spaming a lot of
tanky jungle and I really saw his unbelievable and unfair potential as a tank. I have also played him as an ap and it felt really wierd and risky. I think the main difference between ap Ekko and tank Ekko is the amount of risk you have to take in order to make plays. I have been wondering how can Riot ever balance such champion and I also have been thinking about if there is a champ with simillary overloaded kit.
The first champ that comes into my mind is
, as he was played (and still is) as tank too. But I think that they are not as simillar as it seems, since tank Fizz has got less utility. Than I realized that
has got really simillar abilities in her kit like gapclosers that can be used to dodge spells, Shield, AOE stun (and another type of cc - knock-up) and she is not played as tank. So if playable assassin Ekko means overpowered Ekko tank, why not change him into a mixure of those two - diver-fighter Ekko ? I think it would fit thematically as he does not look like a brawling tank, but a nimble mobile fighter seems ok.
Here are some ideas:
- Make him get more tanky from ap he builds (but lower the dmg he gets from building it).
- Remove his W % dmg and make it a % dmg increase on all abilities based on how low the enemy is (I think this would be a huge hit for tank Ekko and it would be not needed on ap Ekko anymore, because he would have more sustained dmg and tankiness to deal with low hp champs).
- Remove the slow on his passive and increase the movement speed buff (so he is still sticky, but it helps only him not his whole team to catch an enemy - another hit for tank Ekko).
- Lower the range and damage of his Q, but also lower the cooldown (to make it more of an close combat ability rather than an opressive medium ranged ability to bully close ranged champs)
- Switch his shield to another ability (so missing w would matter more)
- Maybe also make his ult cooldown higher, but make it reduce with every champion hit (So it is more of an outplay tool rather than I messed it up button)
**What do you guys think about this ? ** (Also sorry for my English, it's my second languge so if you don't understand something, feel free to ask me what I meant to say).
