Nasus, high damage and hp

Nasus is starting to look overpowered, especially during late game. Every time I face or fight along side him, people always give him large amount of health and have him deal tons of damage at the same time. It's a very common build. If he's not overpowered, then how is he countered?

Zone him out and force him away from lane early. Can't scale Q unless he can last hit effectively.

Don't do like 90% of top laners that push like a mad man and let nasus farm under his turret.

Nasus is a time bomb.

You have to defuse him.

Which takes team work between two players. The Jungler and the Top Laner.

The easiest way to beat him is to make it where he cannot farm, and that involves freezing. If you are against him, get into lane first and aggro all the enemy minions until they bunch up, when your minions start attacking them walk into a bush, this will cause the enemy minions to push into your tower. Farm under your tower. Do not push. Do not leave top lane unless jungler is there to keep up the freeze. Do not buy sunfire cape. Do not buy iceborn gauntlet. Do not use AoE skills. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dollars. Continue this until you have a bajillion gold and nasus has 100 stacks at 30 minutes.

Win.

Nasus ONLY has damage if he was allowed to farm his Q. so how to counter? DON'T LET HIM FARM.

I play Garen against him - I bully him in lane, until 3 and then I just sit back and farm, every time I see a minion getting low I get back in his face and Q E him back. It's not about pushing the lane, it's about countering his farming.

That being said - you need to have a team that can survive with you having a solo top lane battle, because the worst thing any team can do is let a Nasus free farm top uncontested, because he will casually stroll down the lane and take towers like they are nothing. Alternatively sending the support or mid lane to kill him is bad also as even with a modest amount of stacks, a Nasus will tear squishies apart.

Nasus is a very balanced champ in my mind - he must farm to be strong, and that typically leads to abandoning his team or being under Q farmed - take advantage either way by pushing harder than the other team.

u can only stall nasus. regardless by late game hes gonna be caught back up and doin dmg. or just soaking dmg if he has no stacks. u pretty much gotta shut him down for 20 minutes then end asap while hes tryna catch back up. even when hes farmed up slow simple slows and peel can stop him. but his wither needs a freakin nerf thats just too strong

Nasus is supposed to have a strong late game. He can carry games if you let him farm... DO NOT LET HIM REACH THAT POINT! either force objectives like mad and take turrets as fast as possible or keep someone with him at all times to harass him and prevent him from getting farm. He has a pretty terrible early game so don't pick champions with bad early game or champions that rely on auto attacks against him. Pick champions that can harass him in lane so if he tries to farm his Q he is eating harass constantly forcing him to back all the time and take his turret and then proceed to finish the game before he manages to comeback
