Top lane Morde is highly considered a troll pick at this moment. Easy to hard counter into uselessness and highly vulnerable by handicapping himself by laning alone. This Mordekaiser is simply the worst thing that could happen to him.
Riot, did do an amazing job trying to kill this champion for good. He had a cult of devoted players, now nobody likes playing as/against him.
