Dear Riot Games, Stop bringing back "Poro King" and give back "Snowdown Showdown 1v1 and 2v2"

Now for all you newer league players, Snowdown Showdown was a gamemode riot ran during down the 2014 winter event. The gamemode was extremely addicting despite how simple the rules were.

The rules were something like... 1v1 Winner is decided after 1 death 100 farm or first tower 2v2 Winner decide after 2 deaths 100 farm first tower

Games were 2-10 minutes tops and were fun as hell

Then you have Poro King (I'm super biased because I hate this gamemode)

This gamemode is basically aram with a really bad version of rift herald and skarner being the only champion worth banning.

Now snowdown showdown 1v1 and 2v2 was going to be replaced with the magma chamber. The magma chamber was gonna be a full time gamemode for 1v1 and 2v2 that appeared at one of the lcs matches. The gamemode however was completely scapped for no reason apparent reason other than it had issues with performance.

upvote so riot sees this and realizes no one want poro king for the 5th year in a row

I mean it would be nice but u can just create a public custom game in aram and wait for someone to join if they don't make the gamemode.

Eh, I see 0% appeal in duels or dual duels. I don't think this sounds fun in the slightest, whereas Poro King is a blast.

Sorry, I love poro king. HA is my favorite map and poro king lets me have the HA map AND pick my own champ. I can't wait for poro king to come back :D Best event ever!! (edited to add) Best event ever except for real URF, though it is a close toss up between the two ;)

Reason why they never brought back SS was because almost no one played that mode after few days of release. Although, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to release SS as a Custom Game mode option for those Bronze 5 players who tends to ask for a 1v1 after having a heated argument.

It won't happen. And even if it did, you would have like 10 champs that people would pick over and over again. LoL changed too much.

How about anything? I miss the days when we had a RGM every weekend, instead of just on events. Could somebody explain why having Poro king and Ascension when there's not an event is an issue?

I am all for it.

However, there'd need to be a few changes in the set-up:

Instead of being matched with someone and then banning and picking, you should be able to choose a number of champs to not play against (a balanced number, like 1-3) and your champion before joining queue. After finding a match, you'd get 30 seconds to adjust your runes and summoners, and then it is straight onto the Abyss.

The big problem with the old Snowdown Showdown was in the large mismatch between champion select and in-game, with games sometimes being shorter than the pre-game phase!
