Could riot make azir a solo queue champion

I love azir he was my favorite champion for the longest time until I learned about the easy wins that is ziggs mid. Azir has always been interesting to me because he has been in the past i high priority pick in high elo because players know how to follow up with his ult and make plays. I'm in upper silver, silver 2 100 lp to be exact, but Azir can do damage but it seems impossible to carry with him because focus is a hit or miss concept with most silver players. My question is do you think they could make azir so he is viable in low elo without breaking him in higher and professional play?

Achieving that balance is an ongoing project that is somewhat difficult in practice. It will likely take fundamental kit tweaks rather than just changing numbers, which takes a lot more time to design around, plus they need to be careful when they rework azir that he still feels like azir rather than a new champ.

Well they are planning to change him which will most likely fix some of his core issues.

One of the main reasons he was strong apart from the combos is that his laning was relatively busted and generally oppressive

imo, all riot should do is give azir W lower base dmg in all but highest rank, keep scaling the way it is. Rebuff azir Q range, but ncrease the CDR. That way, early game azir isn't as oppressive, and Azir's drift combo is actually rewarded, and cant be used as often so its only engage or escape. This comes from an Azir player.
