I main support, I am forced to support Jhin A LOT, So how do I win with him?

Jhin is probably the worst adc for taking towers? Jhin ult render's him useless for however long he channel's it. < His ult dmg bullet's are about the same dmg as his normal Auto Attack, but he has to aim and hit it.

Right? So to win with Jhin, what do you need to do?

Jhin needs a lot of peel.

a LOT.

Jhin is either REALLY good, or REALLY bad. There is no in between. (At least from my experiences with Jhin.)

If possible I'd ask your ADC if he can play Lucian/Graves/Ezreal (Since they're the most broken, imo). If not, you'd need to work around Jhin (If you have a support that's compatible)

Jhin has no mobility and gets easily caught out. A high mobility enemy team fucks him.

They have a Zed? You have no ADC They have a Yasuo? Better FF or open a lane, because Jhin can't do much.

Lulu might be a solid pick (Due to the speed up if there's a gank, and she has decent peels) I've had some good times with Sona support for Jhin Morgana is REALLY good with him Nautilus (Another solid, amazing pick, assuming he makes it past ban phase)

Jhin likes disengage and snares/stuns. Bring someone who can pull the enemies off of him or hold them down for skill shots. TahmKench and Nautilus are both excellent at this.

I could see Janna doing it well too. Pop a shield before the 4th shot to buff the crit and protect him from his moment of vulnerability.

Ardent Censer also multiplies his damage through his passive, making him hurt REALLY bad.

Hi there.

First of all, peel for me. Jhin has no escape. Moreover, if you're not always attacking at max range with Jhin, you're doing something wrong. So here's my first tip : peel for your Jhin. Priority #1.

That also mean a little foresight during champ select. Jhin doesn't work with every support. He has a passive playstyle until he starts snowballing (~2-3 items) since his passive doesn't allow him for trading or even poke. So you want a support that can nurture him, but with at least some peel. Tresh, Nautilus or Nami are definitely good choices. On the other hand, blitz is pulling champions a little too close and Leona has a tendency to go ham and forget him. That's usually the very moment that the ennemy jungler choose to jump out of a bush and murder you.

Jhin is easy to support. You just take a support with hard CC or a root. Then you poke down the enemy ADC or support, CC them and then Jhin kills them. It's really that easy. I main support and Jhin is my go-to ADC. I know what i'm talking about. I have NEVER lost a game where I had a good support.

What kind of supports do you play? Jhin is actually quite flexible in that he can either play aggressively and poke with his Q/fourth auto, as well as compliment your (as a support) CC with his W root, but he can also just play super passive and farm up - he can do that because he ends up outscaling the majority of ADCs, probably apart from hypercarries like Vayne or Jinx but you don't see many of those nowadays. It's usually good to talk to your Jhin a bit before the match to ask him how he wants to play out the lane.

Also, a thing to note about Jhin's ult - people who don't play him won't know this but right after the channel ends the camera goes a bit derpy and flies all over the place for a second or so during the zoom-in before centering back onto your champion. Don't be surprised if you see Jhins standing around derpily for a moment right after they finish ulting. They're probably just waiting for the camera to readjust.

the msot fun i've had with a Jhin was when i went Maokai support. I've been doing that a lot recently and although I don't often play with Jhins, they make a great team. Maokai's Q is perfect for slowing people or disengaging. His W tied with Jhins flowers is beautiful to say the least. Maokai's E is also great at slowing enemies down and it provides a lot of warding opportunities which save you from face checking. His ult also reduces the damage his allies take and that's always good.

Overall, I think that Maokai compliments Jhin really well and they just make a really destructive bot lane together with infinite roots and slows.

Thresh is a really good pick for Jhin if you know what you're doing. He has lots of tools for keeping Jhin safe between his lantern and the sheer amount of CC in his kit. Not only that, if you feel like going aggressive Thresh can do that with his Q engage. In teamfights, you usually want to stick to Jhin since he's most likely going to be the prime target for any assassins/bruisers on the enemy team. You have lots of CC as Thresh, you should have no problem keeping two or so enemies at bay. You can play lane however you like thanks to Thresh's versatility, but you should probably discuss it with the Jhin first.

With Bard, I'd recommend adopting an annoying poke playstyle whilst letting Jhin farm up to his destructive mid/lategame. I don't usually play with Bards so I can't tell you what to do in teamfights, but the general rules are the same - stick to Jhin and peel for him.

I'm glad you were able to win a game though. As for the last part, that's probably true. People are most likely still learning Jhin as he's not an easy champion by any means, especially when it comes to teamfight positioning and such.

When playing with jhin u usually want a support who can peel well for him. Jhin has a lot of self peel himself since he has his traps and can root people when simply harmed by something from a champion. You still want a peeling support tho. His self peel last just for a little bit.
