veigar's stun is instant and every champ cant seem to find a counterplay aside from praying that he's moving the right way inside or outside the ring... even then, it's still very hard to do it against an experienced veigar player. is there any way for veigar's stun to have a counterplay aside from, you know, tenacity and quicksilver sash? like maybe have a visual delay like thresh's ult or a big wind up coz seriously, there's almost no counterplay to a well played veigar in dueling post 6 and beyond

He's famous for blowing up one target then that's about it. In a teamfight he doesn't have much aoe (w shouldn't hit more than one)

he's countered by items. he has a strong midgame powerspike with his DFG but once you can afford a zhonya's Veigar becomes pretty weak. mikaels, qss, or cleanse for the stun (or just stay out of range) and zhonyas his ultimate. then he's literally useless for the remainder of the fight.

Veigar needs a rework period.

His E as you said has serious issues. His ult also has issues in that it deletes someone for free, no counterplay at all.

so in a sense just avoid him like a plague as 1n1 and just find him later in the game with your teammates? i just feel like it's just done once he catches you with no counterplay (if we dont count in items) is all

The problem is, Veigar literally relies on that stun to do anything in game, due to his extremely short range and delay on W. Currently, his kit is built around the stun, meaning you'd need to buff him a lot to make up for this.

What if... Instead of an instant stun you cut the CD down in half and make it similar to Viktors ground trap where it slows you and THEN stuns you only after you've been in it for a second. You'd trade some insta gib power for survivability. Having a low budget Amumu ult is a little OP when it comes to ganking, diving and zoning.

wave clear is good against veigar, since he doesnt want his lane shoved

you can also outroam a veigar, never once have i seen a veigar hit the enemy tower lol

banshees or ga is a good buy

btw, stop dueling, LoL isn't all about 1v1ing
