returning player from season 4, questions about new stuff

so i found out about TFT and fired up the LoL client for the first time in a few years. man am i confused.

the whole crafting thing is new to me, so im clueless there.

is the champ mastery feature just for fun, or does having a higher rank actually affect the game?

i saw runes and masteries are gone. i still have my all my rune pages, but what happened to all my old runes? was there a refund?

i used to 'main' jungle. im worried about jumping back into the game without knowing which champ, with which runes, with which items, can tank which monsters in the first few minutes. is the jungle still as a big a mess to ignorant players?

i know thats a lot to cover, but thanks in advance

crafting is for getting champs and cosmetics for free

champ mastery is just to BM, makes no difference at all aside from maybe setting off one of your teammates PTSD cause you're first timing a champion and they can see it, or the lobby will ask how you have such high mastery on x champion.

runes and masteries have been reworked, you can make as many pages as you had bought before but you probably won't ever need that many. no there was no refund.

the jungle is more of a fuck up to unlearned players with the way the game is now than it was before...so yeah you probably want to go find some streamer or korean guide on it. why is that way? experience nerfs to the camps so that junglers don't have access to lvl 3 before solo laners. of course that now means you must be dandy prime to perform decently in soloq.
