Make the game harder not easier

We are at the point where the game is so easy to play and rank up that a plat player is Rank 1. Just what in the world is this game. I loved old League, even tho it was hard as fuck. Now the game is so dumbed down that it requires 0 skill and that makes me want to quit. I love learning how to play better and how to improve, but it feels pointless now. I am actually sad, that is how much I love this game.
