I don't think flex MMR and solo MMR are the same sadly.

So basically, it treats that the solo queue diamonds are in silver flex and matches them with other flex silvers.

each separate queue has its on mmr rating

so if they were diamond in solo/duo but not diamond in flex therefore they are matched with whatever their mmr in flex queue says they are

Sadly I have a few friends in Diamond who are Bronze in Flex Que, because they treat it as a fun time. They will completely destroy the bronze members but then surrender the game.

Now I agree, Flex ranked is complete bullshit. This is an actual problem but thank God we have soloQ. For the people who think they are being kept down in soloQ by some invisible Illuminati need to play Solo flex to realise true terror.
