Riot misunderstands the point of prestige skins

I've recently gotten back into playing Call of Duty casually. I use it as a way to relax after losing a ranked game. One of the most compelling things about getting guns golden in COD is the grind. You have to spend several matches proving that you know how to use the gun as well as have general skill of the game. I think this should be the same for prestige skins. Now I know riot has to make money so here are some ideas I have. Lets be real with the exception of event prestige skins, just spending money to get 100 prestige points is pretty boring. So how about in stead of prestige points release prestige missions for skins in the shop for like 1350 rp. These missions are related to the character the skin is for and make you prove you can play the character.

Just because they have the same name doesn't mean they need to function the same.

You don't see me complaining that wards block damage in Skyrim but just give vision in League, do you?

I don't think modern CoDs do that anymore, in fact, I'm fairly certain modern CoD has a battle pass in a game you have to pay for in fact.

Riot releases event passes that you have to pay about $15 for, and it doesn't even guarantee you the Prestige skin for the event. You have to additionally grind away HOURS UPON HOURS of time in a limited time window to get the value out of the item you've already paid for.

What on earth makes you think they would consider your suggestion? With their current formula, you're better off buying the non-prestige edition for $10 and using the free event tokens to purchase the ward skins and emotes you want in the events.
