Some Pressing Questions

I read most of the dev blogs and red posts dealing with game design, and thinking about reworks and power archetypes raised some questions I would like answered. (For some background, I am a jungle main who plays for fun, mostly with friends, and play Warwick ,Nautilus , and Malphite most often)

  1. Are power archetypes a core philosophy of the whole champion design team, or a subset of that team (as some Rioters use that terminology while others do not)?

  2. If power archetypes are supposed to be unique to each champion, and great effort is put into making sure every champion is different thematically, why do Tryndy and Olaf both fall into the "Near- Death Viking Berserker" sort of archetype? Or am I missing something?

  3. Why was Warwick, who has a mostly healthy and thematically sound kit, prioritized for a rework over a champion like Olaf, who has been the poster boy for a "ball of stats"? (Please note that I am not angry that Warwick is getting a rework, in fact, I think what ZenonTheStoic has in mind for him is pretty cool.)

  4. When will we see the Warwick rework come to live?

  5. What is the dev team's stance toward unconventional play styles or positions for champions, like support or mid Nautilus , and if that stance is positive, then why do you try to steer some champions away from unusual positions with targeted nerfs? ( Bear in mind that I am not thinking about cases where the gameplay patterns created by such picks were potentially or clearly damaging to game health, such as Alistar jungle or Lulu top with her nightmarish slow. I am thinking about cases like support Xerath or support Velkoz , who weren't negatively impacting game health.)

I would really appreciate it if I could get some or all of these questions answered. Thanks guys!

I know the answer to 2 for sure is because deliberate diversity was only recently encouraged. Olaf and Trynd come from a way old era of LoL.

Support Vel'Koz was never nerfed, and the bug with Xerath where his Eye of Destruction was proccing spellthief's twice in the center shouldn't have existed in the first place.
