Potecting the AD-carry, providing vision, and providing utillity for your team.

Correct. Though early game you are kinda bound to the ADC unless you roam after a while.

You are only bound to the adc if the other side can deny them cs and force them out of lane/xp.

Place a ward river and roaming mid is generally a safe call early.

"Protecting the carry" may be better, then. Usually it's the ADC, but sometimes it's the midlaner.

Which is always the case because the other side will definitely have 2 on the bottom lane.

I wish we could seitch the lanes around, but the current expectations for positions have always been set unfortunately.

Which is going to be 99% of the time if the enemy lane sees you just up and leave. I will push heavily to kill an enemy adc if their support just dips out and goes mid early. Idk maybe it works in ur high ass elo but not down here.

Not to mention I'm not trying to be 5 levels behind the enemy team, 2-3 is already just so much fun I don't think I could handle anymore.

depends on what support champ u are playing.. but in general you want to be the utility for your team. in most cases u want to set up for your team either with your spells or with vision... again it all depends on what support u are playing.. a zyra and brand will have a different job than a braum or janna

It is possible to categorize. peel support: Janna, Soraka,.... damage support: Brand, Vel Koz,... tank support: Braum, Nautilus

==Main Tasks== -Warding -Communication with team -Map Awareness -Not tilting -Opening opportunities for your ADC to catch up if behind -aiding the rest of your team

==Additional Tasks== -preventing teammates from getting caught out/punishing enemy teammates caught out -maintaining vision -sufficient pinging (not too many where it gets distracting, not too little when it creates more problems) -item builds beneficial to you and your team -pressure/open lanes that require it -prioritize which carries to focus (e.g., whoever is the most fed) -proper positioning in team fights -participating in team fights -readily available for taking down objectives (ex. drag, Baron, low towers)
