Why is Diana classified as a fighter when her play style is literally assassin. Diana play style is build full ap, land a q, press w and r and then auto attack. You bring electrocute on her. Why is she labeled as a fighter when she is so obviously an assassin? Like I have no logical suggestions that you should change about her, I'm just confused as to why she is under the fighters tab when she is SO OBVIOUSLY played as an assassin.
Because she has no escape. Almost every assassin has a way to get out of combat that doesn't involve killing everyone, the only other assassin with no way out coming to mind being Rengar.
Even if she plays like an assassin, that doesn't make her one, since "assassin" is a description of kit.
She's a melee champ that's supposed to attack more than once, get in melee with her shield, pull you back when you run away, dash to you and kill you, a fighter
Nowadays you just get her empowered auto up and then go and kill someone with one combo when you have the items
It's a bit like Wukong, he's labelled a fighter, but anyone with a brain plays him full damage as an assassin, because he's far too squishy to be a fighter and he has a large %armour reduction in his kit

Because at one time defense and damage lived in harmony. Then the balance team attacked. She used to be a fighter.

At least make viable arguments why you think she is an assassin. Like … I agree with you, because she literally can burst you down for 0.060, before you even realized what happened, but your arguments are pretty dumb tho. Let me give u an example "oh teemo have blind on his Q and slow on his shrooms , why is he top laner, its clearly support for me!"

She's supposed to be a bruiser. That's why she has an innate that rewards a high uptime, a shield that refreshes itself if she stays on a target, and can go in but not out.
I wouldn't get too hung up on the class. Champions can always play a lot more different depending on how you build. Example, malphite is probably not classed as a mage but definitely can hit like one. Ashe at one point if not now anymore, was classified as a support in her secondary role but typically no one plays her as a support. Ap alistar, can do insane amount of burst damage with great crowd control but is not listed as a mage/assassin. You can argue that alistar is not normally played ap, but malphite generally is and does not play like his class is said to be.
She can't disengage.

Just hit the search bar. There's so many things wrong with the tabbing/sorting/favorites system I don't even care to begin.

Shes like Nocturne. Her kit maximizes as an assassin, but shes extremely role flexible. and often times finds herself not being an assassin.
That's what "Diver" means now.
"Assassin, except instead of an escape you're tanky"

Pretty easy to see WHY she's a diver, just like others have said here. She has a defensive ability and has to stick to you to kill you. Assassins jump in, kill, and get out. Divers like her can't get out so they have more survivability to stay in and fight.
