went 7 and 3 in promos got dropped all way to bronze 5 after being bronze three.....why bother playing a game that keeps you down.

But the short version in this case is you had low MMR but climbed from Bronze 5 to 3 because of how LP works

You didnt do well.

Sure you wont 7/10 matches. But those are not NORMAL matches.

Those are "placements".

See the System takes silver 5 MMR (or something like that), which is the normal opening MMR for anyone who enters ranked for the first time.

Then it takes your last seasons MMR (even if you were bronze 3, you could of went to bronze 3 0 lp, lost twice, won one, lost, won two, lost 3, and so on, and get shittier MMR than a bronze 5, while still bronze 3, this is how some "bad" plat 5s play with silver 1s), and goes off it by the "new mmr" you get from the reset, it pretty much meets in the middle.

Then your new ranking goes off of your placements. If you had really bad MMR last season, its still gonna be shit.
