Hello All, I am just your typical bronzie trying to climb out, but have had no success due to my lack of skill with champions I have not played many times. My favorite champion is Yasuo, but I have just bought Shaco. I need some help on how to learn and master this fella and eventually climb out of bronze and maybe even out of silver. Well I have not played Shaco but you want to start on red side if you want to counter jungle after you clear your buff. Or start on the blue side to gank mid first after blue then go to red and then gank bot lane. Shaco is a great counter jungler because of his Q and boxes. If you die very early in the game it will be very hard for you to get back. You want to start with boxes first if you do not know that yet. Use your Q to enter the enemy jungle just to see if they are doing red or blue buff for counter jungling. Shaco is an assassin so get the new assassin item

for the AD and splash damage. But it will take a while to get good at Shaco if you have seen Pink ward play Shaco.
So honestly the best way to play him imo is to gank early. Don't go invade. don't try to get a cheesy first blood in their jungle. No shaco has been able to do that to me and either they die, or they spend so much time goofing off in my jungle that they get behind. People expect him to try to kill their jungler. they don't expect ganks as much especially that early (you're lv 2 and they're still lv 1). Basically when i play him i gank. Get red and gank a lane thats pushed. (starting w and getting q). then go do your blue and another camp (preferably the birds for the ward sight) and gank again at lv 3. keep ganking and getting your laners ahead, and that will be more useful to your team than counterjungling. mid game is shaco's worst time, so just gank and farm and split push until late game. You also have to know when to split and when to be with your team. In teamfights (if your team needs you) you stay by the edges, putting down boxes for vision and so they can't get behind your team. When someone gets low, you q in and kill them, hopefully in one hit.
