Riot doesn't know what they're doing when it comes to reworks.

Riot's main job is to take care of the players that are upset with certain things in the game so they can change it and make things "better". I say this because what company would want bad ratings from its players? But in the way Riot does it is ridiculous to people that love the way a champion is. Champion mains can be fine with a nerf here and there, but never too excited with reworks and that's just the way it is. Sometimes it can be understandable, other times unreasonable.

Riot has completely trashed (and by this I mean completely ruined the champion from what it used to be, and the value and pride the mains had in it) several reworks including Sion, Mordekaiser, I don't even have to see what they're doing with Rengar other than what they told us that they're gonna trash him to (still gonna try to be hopeful, idk why or how though). They still don't know what to do with Ryze obviously, he's on his 3rd rework for crying out loud. I have no doubt that down the line in the future a bunch of players are gonna be upset with him because he can still do a whole bunch of damage, sometimes even one shot people, as well as being pretty damn tanky, only now he can offer more utility to his team with his new ult.

Riot: "Rengar will still be an assassin, but tankier and with less damage." ASSASSINS ARE NOT TANKS RIOT. THE WHOLE DAMN POINT OF AN ASSASSIN IS TO HAVE DAMAGE. The whole damn reason Rengar is as op as he is, is because of items, not entirely his kit. Crit Rengar can chunk 50% hp with an auto attack, then you have things like Herold buff to add on top of it WHICH LASTS 20 DAMN MINUTES. He has lots of counter play from cc, tanks, pink wards, vision in general, Lee sin, twisted fate, oracles lens, sweeper, ignite and many more. But the point is once he gets ahead, not him in general.

Static Shiv also has a ton of damage because of it's passive allowing to crit for even more damage. Allowing 100% crit in the game will let anyone whole builds it completely crap on someone then use their victim's upper lip to wipe their ass.

Whatever Rioter reads random posts that are popular or spikes their interest and happens to stumble upon this, watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSYurgFNuk0&feature=share

They don't know how to rework champions in a way that still keeps who they are (FOR EXAMPLE SION AND MORDEKAISER) unless we take it to the lore where they try to keep their theme amongst their new kits that only the people who hated the champion before will like. Except Mordekaiser, no one likes him now. But also not knowing how to keep the champion that their mains know and love at a balance to what the people who don't like them and want them changed. I know it's an incredibly tough job to do, and I thank you for everything you try to do for us.

What do I think they should do? I can't tell them what to do, it's not like they would listen to anyone in the first place unless a post has 500+ upvotes. They put and keep everything at high ranked and competitive opinion, gameplay, history and outcomes of games, stats, and countless other statistics up there.

But what I suggest to them for their future reworks is to try to make a page specifically for the mains on a champion that they're about to rework. They can already make up their mind that a champion will be reworked or not, but at least look at the mains opinions, suggestions and ideas. They already get enough complaints (which is why the rework is probably going to happen in the first place) from people who don't main the champion. So now that those people get their way to have it reworked, listen to the mains so you don't destroy the champion and make them find a new main. You don't know how sad and frustrating it actually is to have to do that.

I apologize for the rant. This post isn't for any champion specifically, even my Rengar. I don't know about anyone else, but Riot seems to keep in mind what a expert main can do with a champion, not what they think about their champion. I just ask they listen to both parties (mains and people complaining who aren't mains of the champion) equally and make it a little more fair by adding a page for the champion mains for future reworks. I'm certainly no expert, heck I'm only gold V. But I am a main, I don't endorse the idea that someone's rank shows what a main of any champion is capable of doing with them. You never know.

Riot all I ask is that you be more open-minded. Please and thank you.

It's not like they are going to ruin only Rengar....all 4 big assassins are going to get removed from the game and that means Le Blanc, Talon, Katarina and Rengar.

I hate reworks...

I agree. I hope the big assassins get removed. Nothing is less interesting than getting grey screened because one of those champions appeared on screen.

Why not? Being 3 shooted by an ADC from a range is healthy? Get real dude, assassins are fine as they are and they do not need any kind of rework.

And no, I am not an assassin main, I am an ADC main, playing mostly Draven, Vayne and Twitch.

Hi S1 Morde Main. Did they ruin Morde- yes Was the rework release a jumble tacked on mess- yes Do i believe riot is incapable of Remaking a Champion- No

They have done good reworks before and will do them again so long as they remember to respect the champion and its playerbase.

No, riot's main job is to make a great game that can bring in the money and give an awesome reputation

If riot tried to take care of every upset player they'd be in leather and chains trying to appease them. It can't be done without breaking something

I say this because what company would want bad ratings from its players? But in the way Riot does it is ridiculous to people that love the way a champion is.

Bending a knee to every baddie that can't appreciate artwork and balance isn't the way to get good ratings unless you just want to be the next company they forget before moving on to the next thing

Rengar could have been a real champ but riot caved to people like you and couldn't get rid of his damn stealth

same probably happened to mordekaiser

Both are in better spots but can be improved

Oftentimes its actually doing exactly as you suggest that ruins the reworks.. not because riot isn't listening but because they shouldn't. They are planning for future changes while trying to give you what you want at the same time. It doesn't work out everytime but it rarely has an actual negative impact unless the champ is too strong as is like with poppy's 6 second lockdown combo

Oh, you mean the Poppy wall slam with dash canceling aura, a touch of knock up from her ult for flavor and a dash of Q to give it a kick XD

No, riot's main job is to make a great game that can bring in the money and give an awesome reputation how are they gonna get an awesome reputation if they don't fix what players say are broken? Sure they can't do that with everything, but they have to fix something one way or another. If riot tried to take care of every upset player they'd be in leather and chains trying to appease them. It can't be done without breaking something

[this is not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying since they're reworking a champion because of the vast majority saying the champion needs to change, at least listen to the mains ideas and offers to changes. We can offer completely new abilities to small changes. It's not like if they did actually make the page the only thing you would see is "don't f*** with my champion"]

Bending a knee to every baddie that can't appreciate artwork and balance isn't the way to get good ratings unless you just want to be the next company they forget before moving on to the next thing

[This has nothing to do with artwork? I don't see why you decided to pull that one out of your ass.]

Rengar could have been a real champ but riot caved to people like you and couldn't get rid of his damn stealth

[without stealth, how is he supposed to get on to a fed squishy without being shit on by every cc spell of the enemy team? Even with stealth all the team has to do is group up and use oracles lens and pink wards and he's dead. He can always wait for them to be near a bush, that's not gonn happen. If they were smart they wouldn't fight in the jungle in the first place].

That doesn't make any sense at all].

People are literally complaining about a rework they have not seen yet? Tanky does NOT mean health. It could also be a shield, lifesteal, health regen, etc. Losing a bit more damage and gaining a bit more health is not going to be the end of the world. Do you think a mid game Reneketon gives a fuck if and adc comes up to him and he doesn't one shot him? No. He is tanky enough to get close to the ADC and shit on him in a couple seconds.

Hahah, I stopped taking this guy seriously when he said they ruined the old Sion.

Old Sion was possibly the worst design to ever grace League of Legends. It was garbage.

I'm not gonna lie, it was op af. But I'm talking about taking what he was as high damage dealer, burst if ap, Lifesteal fighter if ad, then turning him into a full on tank. Im not saying they trashed his previous build, it needed to change regardless, but at least keep him as damage dealer/fighter. Sure you CAN still build it, but with what he is now its pretty irrelevant and almost useless when tanking is almost the only option your left with because they made him that way.

Individual reworks always seemed to work out just fine. It was when they started doing whole class reworks that things started going down the shitter, as it leaves a much larger gap for error. Malzahar would have never turned into what he is now, nor would Swain had they focused on them as individual projects rather than lumping them together.

Malzahar just showed me how a guy with only 7 games with him can ruin a champion. Riot can't do reworks.
