spell vamp with end of season updates coming

i have a feeling i know what people are going to say, but i'd like to hear something from someone who isn't completely... "you actually use that? why?!? 6% is pointless" With runes//masteries being merged into 1 catatonic masterpiece that will have issues on release, i'm really curious where that's going to leave spell vamp on quints (or vampirism mastery) - it's important to note: you removed Will of Ancients, so could, in theory, that return (while alls this time making it viable on other champions, yes, i'm looking at you )

seriously tho, ignore that first sentence, curious about the communities thoughts ;)

I would personally be using spellvamp now if it wasn't a measly 2% from the masteries. The attack/AP gain far outweighs any spell vamp the current system has to offer.

Vlad is pretty cancerous. I played a game against one where we rushed an executioner's calling, and he still healed for almost his entire healthbar with ult and crit Q. It's disgusting, and now there's going to be a rune that gives him overhealing shields like bloodthirster has. I'm not happy

I use 6% spell vamp on my illaoi page because it helps offset any DoT or ignite in lane by letting me Q a minion wave for some hp

Personally, I'd love to see Spellvamp make a comeback with an item or two - and a new set of runes that might amplify those specific items - it's such a neat concept!

However, that's a lot of work... and first off - the only potential problem you solve is giving casters some new build options. Secondly, balancing spell vamp is nasty business in general. A few high AP / high spell vamp items and you could potentially see fed mid-game casters destroying everyone and becoming unkillable in the process.

I'm not sure I want to live in that world.
