Okay Riot, let's talk about ADCs.
Recently, there have been several LCK and LPL games (maybe EU LCS and NA LCS, too but I don't watch them) wherein both teams pick 2-3 ADCs ("Marksmen") each for 4-5 total ADCs in a game. It's even more common for 3-4 to be picked in a game. Clearly you have a massive imbalance in game health when picks are so heavily skewed towards one type of champion. ADCs are going everywhere, save support, and are not only doing well in these positions, but they are actually excelling at them. If there's anything that's good at killing diversity, it's when only one type of champion is favored. Right now that's champs with both burst damage and high sustained damage that can take towers. Thus, you have Quinn, Graves, Lucian, Corki, MF, nearly every game. It's not just one or two members of that list, either. It's all of them in the same goddamn game. I'm cool with this happening every once in awhile, if a team is feeling feisty or trying a new strategy, but when it's consistently occurring it's a problem. And holy shit is it boring to watch, specifically game 1 of Jin Air vs SKT. My god was that boring. Part of the problem is towers being so easy to take. So giving them some extra armor would help reduce the plague of ADCs on the rift. Or you could do something interesting and make it so melee's do bonus damage to towers, but this would likely be a huge issue with Zed, Tryn, and Fiora. I think the simplest solution is to buff Doran's Shield. HP 80 -> 100 Damage blocked from autos 8 - > 12 damage blocked from spells and all other stats stay the same. OR HP 80 -> 120 Damage from autos 8 -> 10 spell damage 8 -> 10 NEW effect : Melee only. (bad for vlad, very good for a lot of other champs. also prevents ADC abuse) This gives champs that have a weaker laning phase vs adcs due to being melee or otherwise, a bit of a buff so they don't just get right clicked out of lane whenever they show up. Cost may need to be adjusted.
