Mordekaiser 2-1-2 possible?

I was thinking, instead of running Mordekaiser botlane and getting destroyed by right clicks, why not just run him toplane with someone like Maokai to back you up? You get solo lane exp on Morde, can run double relic shield if you want, and someone like Maokai, Shen, or Nautilus gives you an easy way to land all 3 Q hits. On top of that you still have a standard bot lane. Only down side is you lose out on a jungler, but the top laner can do smite + TP and still maintain objective control. Hell, you could run TP on Morde and if the jungler ganks bot or mid you have a 4v2 or 4v3. Thoughts on this?

Why would you put the champion with a passive reliant on being next to the dragon, on the lane farthest from the dragon?

Would be considered troll unless it was done a lot by streamers/challenger players.

By the time you can Jungle. (After level 30 but even before that) It's just not worth taking a second duo lane top anymore. In mords case, you completely lose the benefit from having the XP passive since no one is taking XP from the Jungle. Completely nullifying any XP advantage your team might of had.

If morde duo lane becomes a thing, it'll be presented in top lane as a lane swap before 6 so morde can farm and zone the solo laner with his support. But its highly unlikely this will become a thing.

Based on current Lane swap scenarios in the LCS. You Should probably be double Jungling, (at least for a few levels) while the duo lane pushes lane into the tower. Though I don't see any lane swaps at my ELO so I can't say for YoloQ. You would have to pick a tough top laner who isn't deterred by a 1v2.

:D

You can't really play without a jungler bro... not gonna work.

People please, just accept the fact that Morde is useless and dead now. Move on.

at my elo it would probably work (and probably also at a much higher level), but you would have a hard time convincing your team to play without a jungler or convincing top to support/share lane with you

At first glance I thought "Is he asking if Morde is going 2-1-2 like release?", then I realized what you meant. No, he probably won't bring about the 2-1-2 lane composition because the meta dictates a jungler and ADC is needed.

Only down side is you lose out on a jungler,

Boy you sure downplay that. In anything above Bronze5 not having a jungler is a huge liability, if an enemy champion counters their lane opponent they can shove them to turret and bully them out of 90% of farm because they don't have to worry about ever getting ganked. Enemy jungler can gank and never have to worry about a countergank. They can gank from your side of the jungle while also taking the farm. And don't even get me started on the gold/exp advantages that having a jungler brings.
