She's not OP until you run a game for 35-40 minutes. Her Early game damage is trivial and her gameplay mechanics are very rough until W is leveled, which takes a very long time, since W does not contribute to damage (but she does need its move speed).

Her balance more or less lies in realizing you can't draw games out with her. Early game, her only major damage spell only can do about 150 damage and then goes on cooldown. VERY late game, her Q can hit 2200. She needs a team to actually thrive early. So in Solo/Duo, she's going to suffer a lot.

I would beg to differ on her early game being weak. First on the hit box on her Q is weird as all heck. Second, its AOE. Second off, even as poppy... if she hits you with a Q, she WILL chunk you. Not to mention if she manages to land her sleep on you.

I am not jesting I played into this matchup as the poppy. Even with dodging a lot of her q's I got beaten up.

  1. You played melee into an anti melee.
  2. Zoe's Q without R and E conditionals only hits between 80 and 140 or so by that time in game, which is pretty par for the course for ANY early game champ.
  3. Even if you hit sleep early game, together the E and Q only do about 1/2 HP. That's also normal for early game champ combos.

The very fact you brought up Poppy tells me you don't have enough information. Zoe's kit THRIVES vs Melee Teams. She doesn't even have to worry about missing, because they come to her. Her ONLY problem vs a melee team: She can't sleep all of them. Otherwise, it's pure point and click.

Was LB vs Zoe last night and EVERY TIME I went in for the kill should would get a fucking Barrier or Exhaust from a minion or some shit and deny me. She ended up being near useless lategame, but her early game is capable of shutting anyone down if RNG works in her favor.

It's just so, so , so easy to miss your abilities. If she wants to deal any good damage she has to wind up her Q, and you can literally just move back because she won't have the range to hit you. That 170% AP or whatever is only if you mess up and forget to move out of the way. You can see her Q coming from miles away. Her E has short range except through a wall. And even then, the E hitbox is pixel-perfect and very easy to miss. You can literally stand where she cast her ult and when she comes back attack her. She can't cancel her ult unless she gets CCed. Her W is the strongest part of her kit in my opinion. You have to be careful when you use your summs since she can take them.

Op mate, she easy to vs mid lane, she depended on a decent jug. To vs zoe, all you need is a range champ and that's it. Galio can destroy her, teemo can eat her alive, nothing really changed. Her is good for chucking your E at someone, that's about it, but have to be fast to chuck you Q at them or they run off. She makes better for a sup, not even a joke. Believe it not. Riot tried to make a balanced mid lane, that just turned out to be a support champ. Her E is good for support Adc, her Q is good for hitting the enemy heath down fast so adc can have it easier, her W is pretty dependent on kills so adc helps with that and R is good for chucking E in someone face so the adc can kill them. Trust me she a support, has the prefect move set for a support, not even joking, sona makes a better mid lane than zoe, not even funny or a joke. Sona can poke her, heal herself, and move away faster than her and if sona wants you go in R and Zoe in for in.

I don't know every game I've seen Zoe in she's gotten destroyed.

Okay, let me explain.

First of all, Zoe is NOT OP all the time, only if played right.

Zoe requires a rather high amount of skill to play correctly, as she is very skillshot reliant.

Can she one-shot someone easier than Annie? Yes.

Can unskilled, or even moderately skilled players do so? No.

Therefore, Zoe is NOT OP.

Only in the hands of a skilled player can she be at her full potential.

I have a question: why do people keep insisting that hitting skill-shots is a pro level skill? I admit, I am still trying to get better at the game. I am far from the best. But do I hit all my skill shots? No. Do I hit a decent chunk of them? Yes. Besides the only skill shot you need to have skill to hit is her sleep. If you can land that: free chunk.

Zoe getting global vision from summoner use means I ban her 100% as a jungler. I'm not going to play vs a team that knows where I am every smite cause they have a Zoe getting free, no risk vision on me.

For those saying that her Paddle is easy to dodge cause you can see it coming from a mile away: Team fights with CC happens. It's insane. She's getting a nerf. It's okay. Ride her when you can get her.

And by "insane" I mean a low CD, high ratio, AoE nuke is insane. Her mid game is monstrous if a player who practiced her very simple combos plays her.

EDIT: And by "her combos" I mean her couple of variations on her one combo..HIGH WOW! SKILL MUCH! Fay-kuh-ruh!
