Sylas vs Morg mid

Having major troubles with the Sylas buffs that have become Sylas's armor platemail. I first fought him Mid last night in a ranked, and I actually got dumpstered. I JUST fought him again and pretty much got dumpstered although I won the game overall because I am more effective of a champion in teamfights than he is (sometimes depending on his ult) but I have to admit that I dont really know the most effective strategy here for the solo lane.

The issue: If my W is down he knows my damage is halved, and I am trying to push against a Sylas which actually isn't as easy as it seems because his kit is front loaded with AOE. He is just as effective at pushing if not better than I am. My Pool (tormented shadow) can at max effectively hit either all three casters and 1 melee (+cannon if there is one) or all three melee +1caster. Sylas seems to be able to E->AA->Q->AA and the back line is effectively dead and the melee minions are on their last legs.

Now before you say "well he just wasted a ton of mana" thats not the case. With dorans (which i think is a bad start) or corrupting he has a ton of sustain and his abilities dont cost nearly as much as my own do.

If he goes to all in with E I can typically just walk away from when he does E onto me however the dash is super effective at letting him Q the shield off me then E onto me AA W and AA again and walk away. I trade with Q when I can but a good sylas will just run to me, and when he gets close Q at me, and in response i can either hold my Q or take the risk in throwing it. I learned both arent very good because if i hold Q i am at risk of taking yet another low cooldown Q or he E's and dodges the Q if i throw it and he jumps onto me for full combo. the black shield isnt nearly as effective as you would think especially since he does AP damage.

TL;DR

I am in need of some suggestions or itemizing for this butthead. Tips for morgana vs Sylas specifically

I start Dark Seal Flask and im running the tonic rune. if that helps and im specced deep into sorcery with comet as my rune key.

The suggestion here is don't play a support at mid lane.

Yeah, she is a "mage" support, but not in the same sense as Brand or Zyra. She has far less damage and far more utility thanks to her root duration, stun, and black shield. Hence, she can't go back to mid lane like in season 3, like they can.

I've heard Koreans are playing her in the jungle since her W now gets its cooldown drastically reduced when used on Large monsters. Maybe try that out if you don't like sup.

sylas's weak point is his requirement to be on you. so play in a way that counters that mindset.

Why play her when you can play as sivir

Theory crafting here since I barely play the game nowadays. I would treat him like I do vs Fizz/ekko. Start corrupting and aery/inspiration secondary + defensive stats, aggressively trade with autos while pushing with w. He can't really kill you unless you play like a monkey, corrupting and biscuits will keep you topped off. If he makes the mistake of using mana to trade with you then you will get full lane control. Post level 5 you basically just instantly shove and look for plays on the map.

If you feel heavily pressured then opt for a dark seal into protobelt, otherwise beeline for luden's. You out scale him in teamfights unless your team has crazy ults for him so just play for that.
