My problem with Kled.
I love Kled, I really do, I think he's an amazing champion with a lot of potential. But I do have a single problem with him. He doesn't seem versatile, I like versatility in my champions. While some champions are better in some roles, I always like it when they can hold their own in other roles. It can make interesting matchups you don't see from time to time. I know Riot likes innovation which is why I'm posting this.
I think Kled's inability to generate courage from killing jungle camps is insanely limiting his role as a jungle.
Don't get me wrong I can understand WHY this is in place. The idea of Skaarl coming back and Kled getting that big Lizard Shield is indeed a pretty big deal. But I don't think it's really too much. We have champions who can eat jungle camps, lifesteal endlessly, or even summon adds to aggro for them. So while I see the balancing problems Kled jungle might have, I don't really get why it's completely shot down like this.
Heres a scenario: You're jungling with Kled and you get invaded by an enemy Lee sin after picking up red buff. He manages to kick you off Skaarl, then he retreats. This creates a huge problem for Kled, here's why: -He has NO ganking power without Skaarl. -Alone, Kled has a base health of 340 at level one with a growth of 70. This is more than 100 less than the next champion: Anivia, who shares the health growth of 70. -Jungling is now extremely dangerous and you aren't rewarded for successfully doing a clear of your jungle. -He has AD lower than KARTHUS without Skaarl at level 1, not sure about later on.
My reasoning is that having such low health by himself, for taking the risk of jungling, he should get courage. Because that risk should PAY OFF into getting that lizard shield and damage buff back. Instead if I want to jungle with Kled, I have to take a risk with no payoff. I know you guys can find a way to balance this, I really hope I can get a response.
Even if you guys at Riot disagree with me, I'd like to know your reasoning so I could maybe understand it.
