Any theories/ideas as to Swain? We need answers! Here's my theory.

This is all speculation:

I'm pretty confident with the idea that is actually his sword and not the demon like figure we see using it. I believe that the sword corrupts the user. I think for this reason there is another Darkin. I believe this is .

The two are very well linked and I think it's obvious, if this theory is correct that has a bow that is a living corrupting weapon like .

But what would a magic user have? A staff? Perhaps, but what if we considered that the corruption could somehow be contained and controlled somehow. What if knew about Darkin, tricked one into corrupting a raven (Beatrice) and forcing it to work under his will. Or what if he had met the Darkin, now inhabiting Beatrice, and they struck a deal. The beast would give corruption, but willful corruption, hence his transformation, but in return Swain had to give it something as well. I think this would be really cool! What do you guys think?
