kept up in farm despite the EQQQ combo doing 2/3 of my hp pre 6, he goes tear into frozen heart and tabi so I can't kill or outtrade him post 6, also can't push the wave and roam because his base EQ damage will kill me in two combos, can't sustain through his harass till he ooms because his Q mana cost is a flat 40, how do i play this without jungler help?
Well... you know some mages who can't handle Zed very well during the laning phase?
Try doing what they do.
Just farm under tower and hope your team wins there lanes. If you choose to roam and it costs you a tower, you better hope that roam was worth it and that you outtrade the objectives in the long run.
It's possible to to avoid the E, just keep moving. Immediately disengage with your shadow to be out of range of the Lock on Q's if you do happen to get hit.
Don't pick Zed into Urgot.
If you get bored farming under tower or somehow manage to die under your tower.... Know thatYou have some of the best tools to farm under tower. Your passive lets you last hit caster minions after they take a hit from the tower. Not many champs get to do that for free! think back on all those mages that had absolutely nothing to deal with you and tell yourself "Fair enough" :P
If he's pushed you to tower he's an easy gank as he has no escapes.
So a bruiser who is building armor is giving a burst assassin like 
a hard time and now you are crying about it. Guess what, tank bruisers are SUPPOSED to shit on burst assassins.
Funny how you cry about his mana costs being so "low" when you have no mana costs at all. I have played and it's unfair how much damage he can put out on squishies during laning. That fun comes at a cost though, cost being he can't deal with targets who build a fair amount of armor. Deal with it.
Don't pick Zed? He isnt in the meta and shouldnt be played in general.

Since half midlaners cant do much against Zed, Zed should not be able to do much against Urgot :)
