Taliyah first impressions

So I just got Taliyah, played my first game with her, I don't find her strong like op strong, which is good, she is weak, but definitely not super weak. First off I don't know if shes supposed to be good early/mid or late game. If she's an early game mage which I doubt she has a few problems

Laning phase, I get that you want to keep worked ground to a minimum so when you do engage on an enemy you can use your q to full potential, the problem with it is the worked ground Q is super weak, gated by a considerable amount of cooldown on the first few levels and obviously doesn't do a lot of dmg as you only fire 1 Q. Regardless of being an early game mage or late game mage, she has troubles farming. One way that can help would probably refunding some cd when you kill a unit with your Q or maybe your single Q deals slightly increased dmg over your 5 Qs.

Now if she was a late game mage there are even more problems that pretty much arises, which is all her dmg is pretty situational, there can be either you deal a lot of dmg, or you deal 0 dmg depending on the situation. For example, is your enemy behind minions, well congrats, you probably only dealt 300 dmg, if you used any other skills like your E, are they even close enough to take the initial hit, do they even have a dash? Did you or anybody in your team knocked enemies through your e? If yes, grats your probably got a kill, if no, then you're probably dead by now.

I don't think she'll need any major buffs, just a few number changes that can help her in either laning phase or late game like maybe lower the cooldown on her w, it's such a hard to hit spell and doesn't do a lot of dmg, yet has an 8 second cooldown late game.

But don't take my word for it, I only played one game with her so I'm still experimenting with her strength and weaknesses

TL:DR Just give Taliyah small buffs here and there and she might be good
